About Me

Marissa Waitlevertch (she/her) is a dance artist and educator from Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated summa cum laude from Point Park University with a BFA in Dance. Following graduation, Marissa moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she danced and choreographed for Whirlwind Dance for two seasons under the direction of Joshua Manculich and Morgan Sandlin. Beyond her work with Whirlwind, Waitlevertch has been featured in works performed at Columbus City Dance Showcase, Ohio Dance Festival, and Small Plates Choreography Festival. As an educator, Marissa is passionate about cultivating an inclusive and uplifting community for artists rooted in authenticity–where every voice and body is valued and reminded of the joy that lives within dance.
